Explore the possibility of joining us as a Senior Clinical Information Scientist (Sr CIS) within one of our key scientific focus areas; Late Respiratory and Immunology (R&I).



The Role

As a Senior Clinical Information Scientist you will deliver information services to one or more drug project teams and assists them in making decisions in the drug development process. The position sits within our Information Practice unit who drives optimal use and value of clinical information and scientific knowledge retention for better informed decision-making in clinical development.

Late-stage R&I Biometrics consists of statistical, programming and information experts for drug development in phase II and beyond. You will be part of a truly global team alongside some of the most respected specialists in the industry.



Responsibilities

This role works in collaboration with other Information Practice team members to drive value of information and data and provides means to capture and retain knowledge. You are expected to work independently and take responsibility for specific Information Practice deliveries within a drug project, and proactively engage and influence stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve deliveries and best practice.

You will use a variety of information sources such as scientific literature, competitive intelligence, internal and external clinical trial databases and techniques such as specialist information search and analysis, data visualization and benchmarking to extract and present key relevant information.

Significant areas for contribution are:

Support decision-making in clinical design, submission and interpretation by identifying, extracting and presenting meaningful facts and data from internal and external information sources

Organize and structure information for drug development decisions and for reuse of information and data
*

Plan and work independently and take responsibility for specific deliveries within a drug project, and ensure high quality is built into deliverables.
*

Proactively engage and influence stakeholders to identify opportunities and provide practical solutions for problems.
*

Contribute to the development of best practice and may serve as the point of contact from the team for specific Information Practice delivery areas.
*

Lead delivery of specific tasks with other Information Practice staff or project team members
*

Coach more junior team members around certain deliveries.



Essential requirements

To succeed in this opportunity you will have a strong passion for clinical data and information and proven insightful ability to know what information to seek, how to find it, and how to share it with the teams in a clear and meaningful way.

We seek individuals with:

Bachelors or advanced degree in a Life Science, or related discipline
*

Proven track record in the application of information and knowledge management in a clinical or scientific setting
*

Good written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills and proficiency in communicating complex information to a diverse audience
*

Demonstrated ability to lead from a skills perspective
*

Research skills and Analytical thinking
*

Good organizational skills
*

Great attention to detail

*

Knowledge of pharmaceutical development
