The Cloud Foundation cluster is part of the Digital Core organization at Volvo Cars and is tasked with providing a modern, cloud-native platform on which to host the company’s internal and external facing applications. We work with technology and methods such as Kubernetes, Istio, Crossplane, GitOps, Backstage, FinOps, Security/SecOps, etc.
We are now looking for a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our team in Gothenburg with some possibility for remote or hybrid.
What you’ll do
You will work in close cooperation with the company’s software developers around the globe to deliver and run key applications on the cloud. As a Cloud/DevOps Engineer, you will work to provide a cloud platform with first-class user experience through GitOps methodology. Our systems have a high level of automation. You will be part of a technical team dedicated developing state-of-the-art solutions for scalable cloud hosting. You will also develop experiences to onboard new teams to the cloud, sharing knowledge and best practices, through tools, APIs, templates, and documentation. We operate our platform on Kubernetes in the public cloud.
Who you are:
We are looking for you who have five years of experience as a Software Developer and three years of experience as a Cloud Platform Developer. We see you have a great interest in Cloud/DevOps to strengthen our cloud platform team. We notice you are well-versed in the Cloud Native ecosystem and have a solid knowledge of modern cloud technologies, associated methodologies, and tools. Additionally, you possess experience in Kubernetes and Terraform or Helm.
Experience and knowledge in using languages such as Python or Golang, and with AWS and Azure is desired.
As a person, we also see that you are willing to bring strong collaboration and communication skills to a growing and diverse team.
The position is located in Gothenburg.
