ValueOne is looking for a Senior Commodity Buyer of indirect material for a six-month assignment at our customer’s premises in Gothenburg. The assignment will start at the end of February.
The role
The role means that you will take full commodity responsiblity for indirect material. This includes developing and implementing sourcing strategies and Commodity Business Plans as well as establishment, negotiation and maintenance of commercial contracts. Communicate and be available to internal and external stakeholders.
Main tasks:
Create effective and long-term supplier relationships.
Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers that meet the company’s requirements regarding price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
Actively and continuously monitor status of suppliers and maintain supplier database.
Participate in cross functional teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Work towards commodity-based structure.
Experience and competencies
The role requires deep knowledge within purchasing and commodity experience from indirect materials and services. Furthermore, you must be a skilled negotiator with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. SAP experience is also essential.
For this position we are looking for a professional, solution-oriented self-starter with a commercial understanding able to manage many tasks simultaneously. In addition, you are a structured person with good administrative skills.
