Efficient charging solutions are crucial in our electrification journey at Volvo CE. As part of the global Electromobility Team, you'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including Volvo CE (Purchasing, Technology, Uptime&Productivity), Suppliers and other Volvo entities like Volvo Energy, Group Trucks Purchasing or Penta.


Being locally based in Sweden, you will closely work with Global Commodity Manager to oversee regional sourcing activities and projects. Your active contribution will be instrumental in developing and implementing sourcing strategies, ensuring strong commercial setup and positive relationship with stakeholders and Suppliers.

The Electromobility Team is a dynamic, multinational group of highly motivated individuals. We work cross-functionally and worldwide to drive global vehicle electrification initiatives. Our responsibilities encompass all components/systems required for vehicle electrification, from charging systems and Li-Ion batteries to converters and electric motors. Main tasks/responsibilities
Perform comprehensive global market analysis for charging solutions.
Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage suppliers in alignment with Volvo CE’s business needs.
Communicate with relevant stakeholders from Volvo Group (e.g Volvo Energy, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Penta) actively shaping the future of charging solutions,
Support and drive Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) activities,
Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, ensuring the full implementation of Volvo's agreement package,
Conduct Business Review Meetings (BRMs) with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in terms of Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features, and Sustainability (QDCFS),
Monitor overall QDCFS performance of assigned Suppliers,
Safeguard Intellectual Property (IP) rights for developed solutions,

Competences and education:
University or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field,
You have minimum 5 years of Purchasing or Business Development experience which includes: sourcing, cost management, negotiations, supplier relationship management, operational & strategic supply management,
An ideal candidate will possess relevant technical knowledge (e.g. off board chargers) and solid understanding of relevant markets/industries and suppliers,
Strong communication and negotiation skills, backed by a track record of delivering results,
Fluent in written and spoken English. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
Previous work experience in the Construction Equipment or Automotive industry, particularly in the Electromobility or Charging/Power converters field is a plus.
