Senior Commodity Buyer to Plasman, Gothenburg

The Role

You, our hopefully soon to be new employee and colleague, will take the lead in driving one of our major direct material portfolio within Plasman Purchasing.

Business acumen, you will have a purchasing responsibility focusing on areas such as defining the appropriate strategy for the given commodity, optimizing the supplier base, negotiating and securing competitive and quality secured agreements, developing best practice purchasing processes. You will also drive continuous improvement within the segment in coordination with our stakeholders departments. In other words you will strengthen Plasman competitive advantage by understanding the business needs to support our market growth.

You will be responsible for following commodities: plastic components, chromed parts, rubber, sheet metal, foam, fasteners, tape and other bought/new component development.

Example of overall tasks:

• Develop and drive business strategies and overall supplier management development.
• Drive all relevant activities to deliver on QDCTSR targets during production phase. QDCTSR = Quality, Delivery, Cost, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management
• Responsible for production with activities such as cost savings, handling supplier crisis, supplier switch activities, follow-up of contracts and agreements with suppliers and ensure implementation
• Manage and negotiate product/processes changes during production phase and after production phase
• Perform daily purchasing activities related to supplier base management, production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers

Who are you?

• BSc or MSc in Business Administration or Engineering Degree or equivalent education level
• Strong purchasing experience 6-10 years
• Worked in automotive is meritorious
• An open minded person with a can-do attitude
• Strong business acumen
• Negotiator by birth
• Drive to execute
• You are used to and enjoy working in an international environment

• Excellent spoken and written English (Additional languages are given merit)
• MS Office / SAP fully proficient or other purchasing systems
• An open minded person with a can-do attitude
