All have their own areas of responsibility but support each other towards a common strategy. In Commodity Procurement, Commodity Cable Harness and Lighting (SCCE) you belong to a team of 8 people where all purchasers have individual responsibilities but are connected to the same mission and targets.
Responsibilities
We are currently searching for a new team member to join the cable harness team with the responsibility for the component segments. You will be leading the procurement work and will be responsible for setting the overall strategies. You will lead the strategy with the right balance between Technology, Quality, Delivery, Cost and sustainability (TQDCS). The role entails a lot of cross-functional work with R&D, Production, Quality, and other brands in the Traton Group.
You will be a key contributor in our collaboration with partners internally within TRATON group as well as with our highly competent suppliers. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop your career further and grow within Scania Procurement, our cross-functions, and TRATON.
As a Senior Sourcing Manager, you are also expected to use your broader expertise and competence to guide and support colleagues within the group and commodity and indirectly give leverage to the entire commodities’ output. We expect you to act as a role model in terms of Procurement ways of working and actively give advice, guide, support, and share knowledge.
Your profile
You thrive on seeing the results of your efforts and you enjoy being able to impact our solutions directly. You have a holistic strategic awareness. Your creative mindset will help the team shape new long and short-term solutions to fit the changing landscape. You are good at maintaining relationships and like to represent procurement in cross functions, cross-brand as well as towards suppliers in a professional way. You see and can balance stakeholder needs and you are not afraid to raise your voice when needed. You are a person with a great commercial interest and a passion for doing business while staying close to the technology. You are also self-driven with high integrity and contribute to the development of the team. To take on this role we see that you have:
• You have at least 5 years of experience in procurement, in a technical environment
• An academic degree in business economics, engineering, or similar.
• Strategic and commercial mindset and are skilled and confident in negotiations.
• You are confident in guiding and supporting others in these areas.
• Used to analyze complex situations and work in a structured way to be able to run several procurement assignments in parallel and independently.
• Results- and goal-oriented, take your own initiative to enhance organizational performance and react quickly to avoid and handle crises or deviations.
• Skilled in communication with the ability to adapt your communication to diverse audiences and organizational levels.
• Earlier experience of cable harness components is an advantage as well as Scania experience.
• Advanced level in written and spoken English is mandatory, and good knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
• Since the role puts high demand on cross-functional work and alignment you appreciate working in a team and actively work to foster teamwork.
