We are now looking for a senior communications manager to join our Digital Services’ Marketing & Communications team. In this role, you will develop and execute the Business Area’s communication plan mainly towards media but also other influencers across channels to drive awareness of our news and strategic topics with the objective to change the perception of Ericsson Digital Services.
You will
You will build and maintain strong relationships with media, thought leaders and relevant stakeholders in the market. Identify opportunities pro-actively and execute when needed; pitch, content, storytelling and follow up. In addition, you find it important to provide data driven feedback on the impact of perception pieces and activities and help us improve. You are a communicator at heart and will ensure that the Ericsson brand and tone of voice is used in our communication, and in addition you are an excellent writer who develops strong messages and narratives that resonates with the target audience, mainly media.
As our senior communication manger you are part of the Communication unit and you will have an overarching editorial role to ensure consistency over all channels (media, blog, social, press releases, events, etc), working in partnership with other team members, particularly on press releases. You will also work closely with other Marketing and Communications colleagues to maximize reuse of content across channels. You will be responsible for media coaching and briefing spokespersons for Head of BA Digital Services and Leadership Team members. The role reports into the Head of Communications in Digital Services.
Prepare and execute external communications plan and activation
Provide data driven feedback and analysis on performance
Create and activate relevant messages and content for the defined target audience
Create strong and clear messages, including writing eg press releases
Ensure consistent and accurate messaging externally in line with Brand guidelines
Pro-actively manage media activities incl spokespersons briefing and coaching
Channel management
Budget responsibility

Who you are
To be successful in this role you have experience from working with communications in a global business unit or from a PR or communication agency. You are passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced working environment. You are customer obsessed, proactive by nature, can move between high strategy and small details, relish problem-solving, want the ability to think creatively and love the satisfaction of brilliant execution.
You have experience of crafting and driving communication plans and messages in exciting M&A or other NDA like projects. We believe that you take an interest in the industry in which we operate, have knowledge of our customers and preferable you hold a good network with relevant trade media. You are expected to set plans and take part in execution at the same time. As we sometimes have ambitious deadliness you work well under pressure. This role is an individual contributor role and is expected to be both strategic and operational.
Education: University degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in communications roles, preferably in B2B and/or agency
In depth knowledge about the Telecom industry and or other equivalent industries
Proven experience and leadership in running comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and outreach programs to advance a company’s mission and commercial goals
Excellent writing skills
Strong capabilities in crafting messages
Business and financial understanding, acumen and skills
Proficient English skills
Innovation skills, you constantly seek new and innovative ways to reach your objectives
