The Electromobility organization is responsible for the complete development lifecycle of our electric powertrains. From advanced engineering through product development into the maintenance phase. We drive the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. Join our exciting change journey today and our newly formed team within the Electric Propulsion Management System section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of hardware and software components from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase. Our responsibilities include the next generation central Control Module for the electric propulsion system. 
Role description:
Being a Senior Component Owner for the next generation central Electric Control Module (ECM) hardware you will be a key player in the most extensive Electromobility projects, with an overall responsibility for the technical content and delivery of quality assured Control Module Hardware to different projects and products.  
You will work in a cross-function team within Volvo Group to specify the technical requirements and design of the central ECM hardware. You need to understand the requirements that derives from the embedded software, as well from the system architecture and the objects under control. Furthermore, you will choose production supplier, secure the industrialization and continuous future development of the solution. 
Furthermore, you work closely with the project team and making sure the internal team and suppliers understand the technical requirements to deliver high quality on time. Apart from your deep technical knowledge, stakeholder management as well as the ability to inspire a team are key success factors in this role.

You have a strategic ability to understand, identify and adopt to future needs and challenges. You also have adequate planning and organizing abilities and are comfortable in communicating in English, both spoken and written.
• You have experience in electronic circuit, embedded system and automotive hardware development.
• Knowledge in R&D product development process.
• Extensive experience in coordinating and cooperating with automotive Tier1 Electronics suppliers.
• Knowledge and experience from requirement management, DFMEA, SFMEA, 5-why, 8D-process and others.
• A very good understanding in hazards when introducing and designing electronics in higher voltage applications.
• Your great stakeholder management skillsets are needed, when having several internal and external supplier connections in your daily work. 

Required knowledge/experience.
• M.Sc. degree or higher in electrical/mechatronics engineering 
• Minimum five years in analog and digital electrical circuit design for embedded systems
• Technical Leadership experience is a merit.
