Your role
In the role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required
• Expertise in managing Microsoft SQL Server instances in enterprise environment
• Install and configure new Microsoft SQL Server instances, including AlwaysOn availability groups and failover clustering
• Database management including backups, recovery, maintenance, export, import and mass data loads
• Participates in Database Management System selection and maintains database performance
• Analyzes and generation of all tables and index statistics
• Monitoring and resolving data lock issues
• Create indexes to achieve critical dataset response time for time sensitive reports
• Configure and manage SQL Security settings.
• Create, modify, and optimize SQL Server Agent jobs and maintenance plans
• Proactively monitor SQL Server maintenance tasks, troubleshoot failed jobs and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot application slowness and performance issues.
• Responsible for T-SQL query tuning Responsible for database migrations and server upgrades.
• Develop documentation and training of routine database administration tasks and train server operations staff on these tasks.
• Engage in ongoing process improvement
• Responsible for ETL of large data into SQL Server Author and modify SQL Server Reporting Services reports
• Patching of standalone/'Alwayson' of MS SQL Servers
• Basics in configuration/modelling and experts in troubleshooting/optimization
• Restore actions in EMC Networker interface
• Determine bottlenecks and perform tuning related tasks to MSSQL Servers and Databases like(CPU/Memory management/DISK/IO etc..)
• Perform investigations in Job failure, SQL Services Down and database connectivity issues
• Perform SSIS and SSRS installations and configurations according to predefined templates and processes
• Highly skilled at database design, installations, conversions Responsible for database backup and recovery procedures, access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management
• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs by facilitating brainstorming sessions.
• Good Knowledge in Always on Feature.
• Experts in Profiler and /or extended events.

• Microsoft SQL Server certification
