Would you like to take on the role as Senior Controller supporting Nordea’s Asset Management business?
We are looking for a Senior Controller with experience in accounting, consolidation and taxes to join our team, which has a key role in providing high quality financial information. This is a position, which provides an opportunity for you to be part of a Nordic team of highly competent specialists in the dynamic financial sector, managing complex financial accounting matters in compliance with regulations and legislation.
About this opportunity
You’ll join the Asset Management Accounting team within Group Finance, where we provide financial reporting and insightful analysis for several Asset Management entities within the Nordea Group. As a Senior Controller, you will play a key role in the accounting, consolidation and preparation of annual reports and tax returns for the Swedish Asset Management entities.
What you’ll be doing:
* Advise and support on Swedish accounting and reporting issues
* Be responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual oversight of the financial and tax reporting
* Ensure that our financial reporting through a strong controlling environment has high quality, by monitoring and setting requirements
* Understand new requirements and ensure proper implementation thereof
* Drive the process for interim and annual report production, following both Swedish and international accounting standards
* Liase with external and internal auditors
* Take part in coordinating and driving continuous improvements of the financial reporting framework
* Support management and other stakeholders with reports and ad hoc task
You’ll join an experienced Nordic cross-border team located in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm. The role is based in central Stockholm.

Your experience and background:
* University degree in relevant field, e.g. Finance, Accounting or Taxes
* 5+ years or professional experience in financial services, preferably from audit firm (big 4), bank, insurance business, or other large company finance team
* Understanding of consolidation process and good knowledge of consolidation tool
* Excellent skills in accounting/ IFRS and period-end closing
* Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
