What you´ll do
We are looking for a candidate that would like to secure Telenor´s very important services to the customers. You will be a key player in the Security team and within the Security incident process. This role will be a key contributor to the incident response process for minor incidents and participating in major incidents. The role will need a broad technical understanding of enterprise systems, networking and operating systems, and the ability to learn new information at a rapid pace.
As Senior Cyber Security Specialist at Telenor you will lead advanced analysis of adversary tradecraft, malicious code, and Advanced Persistent Threat capabilities. You will analyze systems, communications, network security events, and exploits to determine security vulnerabilities and recommend remedial actions. In the role, you will provide situational awareness on the current threat landscape and the TTPs associated with specific threats to our business. You will provide assurance on the company's cyber detection and response capability and during high profile Cyber incidents to support Investigations and Incident management to aid the speedy resolution and mitigation of the cyber risk.
* Collaborates on developing, implementing, and maintaining the Enterprise threat platform, tooling, capabilities, and reporting.
* Perform Penetration Tests on applications and run simulated cyber-attacks based on prioritized threats to the company.
* Recommends and facilitates improvements for countermeasures based on the identified techniques, tactics, procedures, and behavior patterns used by adversaries.
* Configures and monitors various cyber-security tools.
* Conducts triage of cyber-security alerts determining criticality and priority of the alert.
* Assesses emerging threats against our operational environment and collaborates with our security team partners for rapid mitigation and/or remediation.
* Develops and maintains strong relationships with other business units to effectively support their respective operating needs and goals.
Who you are
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have previous experience in threat hunting, Ethical Hacking, Red Team, and/or Purple Team. You have experience in working with Information Security and scripting/coding, secure development, and open source security tools. You are able to communicate technical issues to non-technical people and the ability to think strategically; work with a sense of urgency and pay attention to details. You are great in presenting complex solutions and methods to a general non-technical community. You need a broad technical understanding of enterprise systems, networking and operating systems, and the ability to both adapt to new areas and do innovation.
* Experience configuring and monitoring SIEM software and log collection facilities.
* GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) preferred or equivalent certification or comparable knowledge and experience.
* Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification or comparable knowledge and experience.
* The individual must have an intimate knowledge of various operating systems and networks, network and application security, cryptographic standards and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
* Knowledge of the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF), the CIS Critical Security Controls, ISO 27001 framework and the MITRE framework
* Strong team player that collaborates well with others to solve problems
