Supporting Group Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo CE and Volvo Penta, our scope is to secure preventive quality and safety requirements in projects and research, quick response and solutions of field issues and we build and transfer knowledge throughout the value chain.
Technical Analysis and Supplier Warranty Recovery (TA & SWR) is a global organization, present in North America, Europe, and Latin America, supporting GTT and the Business Areas.
We are now looking for a Senior Data Analyst for our team in Sweden

Job Summary
You will join a team of warranty segment leaders located in site localization. The site localization site is responsible for the supplier warranty recovery activities for Brand name brand and contributes to the supplier warranty recovery of other Trucks and Bus brands.
As senior Data analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and visualizing data for opportunities / problem solving defined by the TA&SWR business, supporting the Warranty Segment Leaders in country. You will also have a global role, being part of the TA&SWR global data analyst network: with you counterparts from Sweden, North America and Brazil you contribute to the development of the global analytic solution, including setting business requirements on new developments such as new data integration, or implementing new analytics functionality.
Furthermore the data analyst supports the strategic roadmap for both analytics solutions and the future tools & platform. You will be expected to pro-actively suggest specific pilot and improvement proposals, towards local and global organization.
Your creative thinking and problem-solving skills will contribute to solving some complex challenges in the areas of data analytics. You will be actively finding new ways to support supplier warranty recovery and to contribute to decrease warranty costs and increase Uptime for our customers.

Core responsibilities
To take responsibility for all steps of an analytics assignment, from business requirement, data exploration, data structuring, modeling, problem solving and recommendation. Be able to deliver all steps independently, but also work closely in projects together with colleagues in Europe, US and Brazil
Conduct analysis to provide actionable insights to assist Warranty Segment Leaders in problem solving, in making forecasts & predictions
Apply statistics and mathematics models to understand and solve business problems on data
Collaborate with model developers - Q&CS data analysts or data scientists - to implement and deploy scalable solutions
Visualize complex analytic output to enable and increase understanding of WSL, management and other decision makers
Set up and enable colleagues to perform self-service reporting and analysis on our data analysis platform
Contribute to the strategy & roadmap for the analytics in the Supplier Warranty Recovery area
Contribute to process & organizational development in all processes where our analytics solutions are used

Technical Profile and competences
Degree in statistics, mathematics or computer science
Data analytics experience
Ability to use descriptive statistical methods (distribution, regression, classification, statistical tests…) and predictive (Weibull models…)
Exposure to visualization tools
Exposure to Analytics Platforms
Sharp analytic & logical mindset and effective problem solver
Data story telling enabling effective communication to colleagues and senior management
Creativity & Innovation: reframing traditional patterns of thinking and applying new and evolving ideas, methods, designs and technologies
