Senior Data Analyst/Scientist for SWDL and OTA

Volvo Cars is looking for a Senior Data Analyst/Scientist for software download and over-the-air capabilities (OTA) with responsibility for setting up tool set and processes for extracting data and analyse customer behaviour related to vehicle software.

You will be a key person in a global organization with a clear vision to provide competitive advantage from Product Creation and Industrial Digital (PC&I Digital). In PC&I Digital, Vehicle Software & Installation (VS&I) department is responsible for enabling configuration & development of a vehicle and its software, by offering continuous updates of software through dealers, in plants & over-the-air direct to consumer.

You will work with collecting, analyzing and interpreting extremely large amounts of data to develop reports, hypotheses, make inferences, and analysis of vehicle software and customer behaviour.

This is a vital role with high focus on documentation and visualization skills and strong ability to communicate complex aspects within the area of data science. The everyday work is directly connected to secure the portfolio content and roadmap by understanding the challenges and business needs aligned with our strategy.

You will work with the following focus areas:
Capabilities of vehicle software
Development of statistical learning and predictive models 
Eliminating ambiguity and work towards wanted solutions
End to end vehicle software development
Analysis of usage and failure rate of vehicle software by multiple interfaces
Customer feedback and behaviour 
Requirement gathering :with focus on gathering and analyzing data, using various types of analytics and reporting tools to detect patterns, trends and relationships in data sets.

Required qualifications
IT University degree or equivalent working experience 
Data Analyst/Science training and experience in process & tools such as Power BI, Microstrategy, Tableau, SQL, Oracle, Python
Agile mind-set and understanding
Experience and ability to mentor and coach peers
