About us
The Quality Data Analytics & Survey Team is a team of data analysts, data scientists and data engineers enthusiastic about enabling the power of data to actionable insights. We handle Quality data with the goal of linking our customer and vehicle insights to strategic planning, early detections, and daily processes. Our aim is to create insights, methods and tools, and support decision-making within the Quality Department and other key stakeholders with a high impact on Volvo Cars quality performance.
We are now looking for a person who can take on the responsibility of a Senior Data Analyst role, specializing in Quality Data, such as warranty, diagnostic, customer research.
What you’ll do
In this role you will act as the Senior Analytical Lead for developing, maintaining, and improving Analytical Products used in the Quality community. As a Senior Analytical Lead, you will be responsible to collaborate with cross-functional teams and business owners to define and prioritize analytical projects, deliver recommendations on project set-up such as data pipelines, visualization approach, time plans, resources, and business criticality. You will act as a guiding star in the team in terms of industry and Volvo best practises as well as emerging trends in data analysis. Part of your responsibility will also be to assist in process improvements and data-driven optimizations.
You will analyse data using statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, and correlation. When developing Analytical products you will collect, clean, and transform large datasets to ensure data quality and integrity. Finally, you will interpret and communicate findings through insightful reports, visualizations, and presentations.
What you’ll bring
We believe you are an experienced data analyst, curios and always eager to learn. You have proven analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex datasets using statistical analysis and with proven knowledge in statistical tools (e.g., R, Python, Excel). You need to be proficient in SQL and have experience working with relational databases, currently Volvo use Snowflake. It is vital that you have attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and quality. It could be beneficial if you have knowledge of data extraction and transformation tools, familiarity with data warehousing concepts and techniques, experience with programming languages and understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms. Many of our analytical products are developed to be used by colleagues in the Quality community and therefore full proficiency in data visualization tools Tableau and Power BI is needed.
You need to appreciate the challenge of creating opportunities with data that is not perfect. You have a structured way of working, a self-motivator and share our enthusiasm for making data a powerful tool. We believe the right candidate has a degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, statistics or similar with 6-10 years of work experience in a data analyst role.

To succeed in the role, you need to be comfortable developing others towards a common goal and at the same time be part of the team. You can work individually and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Further, you are fluent in English, and a great storyteller using latest visualization tools.
