In this role, you will initially be working together with a very experienced business analyst who will assist/coach you in the beginning, in terms of gathering the right understanding of the business features to be implemented in Qlik. Quite soon, we expect you to be mature enough to be able to understand the Qlik business needs and to translate this into the right functional and technical requirements inside Qlik as well translate these towards the backend team (in order to also identify any potential backend development).
As a Qlik expert you’ll also be responsible for the necessary development following the Volvo standard and guidelines, as well testing and deployment or taking care of the production Qlik support items.
Another part of the role is to evaluate the Qlik tool vs Power BI and potentially implement a new solution in Power BI, which is then a redesign of the current, widely and intensively used Qlik app within our service contracts portfolio.
This is You
Minimum 3 years of experience as BI data analyst.
Experienced in data modelling, data analysis, data warehousing, Qlik and Power BI reporting.
Confident in performing detailed requirements analysis while collaborating continuously with various teams, including business key users.
Used to interact frequently with other various technical teams regarding data collection and being responsible for the translation of the requirements into technical requirements towards the backend developers as well as for the Qlik implementation.
Able to deploy, perform and lead UAT and testing of the BI solutions in Qlik, including coordination and creation of test plan and test scripts (scenario testing etc.) for quality assurance.
Confident in creating and maintaining technical documentation for various kinds of solutions.
Communication Skills and Personality
Outstanding & proactive communication skills from a written, verbal, and interpersonal perspective (English).
Team player with attention to details.
Self-starter – taking initiative regarding investigation, analyzing and improving things as well for finding solutions.
Being able to cope with priority and planning changes – long term planning can sometimes be a challenge to achieve.
A Quick Learner.
Willing to travel/work on site to speed up knowledge transfer and to stay connected with the rest of the team.
Core Competencies Required
Very good knowledge and development experience of the whole Qlik stack (QlikView, Qlik Sense).
Experience with Nprinting and GeoAnalytics is a plus.
Experience of working with Microsoft Power BI.
Language: SQL, Qlik scripting, set analysis, etc.
Databases: Azure synapse, Netezza.
Reporting Tools
Qlik stack (it's a must).
Power BI, to be able to evaluate the right tool when customer does not know what to choose, implementing new solutions (reports within Power BI).
Analytical Skills
Great analytical skills to analyze the data properly.
Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks considering the deadlines.
Ability to give estimations based on experience.
