Senior Data Engineer

About the role
Folksam is working on a new platform that builds upon the delta lake paradigm using Databricks with the medallion lakehouse structure. The high level design (HLD) for the lakehouse is set and now we are refining the diagrams based on what we have discovered in practice. One job position is focused on the staging area of the pipeline and the other one, in the storage area.

Technologies used
These are the technologies used across the whole data pipeline. However, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer focused on tools directly involved in creating deltalakes.

Apache Spark
Data Build Tool (DBT)
Databricks
Azure SQL Server
PowerBI
Apache Airflow for schedule and monitoring
Deployment into Azure

To succeed in this role, we see that you have
3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, data science.
Leadership skills, so you can voice the concerns of the data engineer team to the architect/management team.
You are data-driven.

Language requirement:

The corporate language at Folksam is Swedish, however, we are running a pilot program where we collaborate with Swedish language institutions to help you learn the language. We will provide more information during the initial interview.
