We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our client in the automotive industry. As part of this dynamic and fast-paced team, you will play a key role in shaping data-driven solutions that improve the understanding of product and process performance, as well as enhance customer experiences.
The team is responsible for bridging the gap between data providers and users, focusing on building efficient, high-quality data products using advanced platform capabilities. The ultimate goal is to support business objectives by delivering flexible and scalable data engineering solutions that align with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of data product development, including defining, building, testing, and deploying solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that business needs are met through data-driven approaches, while also collaborating with your Product Owner to break down work into manageable tasks and plan for future development cycles. Ensuring adherence to technical designs and architectural principles will be part of your everyday work, along with engaging with various stakeholders and system architects.
Technologies You’ll Work With:
• Python, Apache Spark, Bash
• Table formats (e.g., Delta)
• Cloud platforms like Azure
• Docker
• Data Platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)
• Github
Who You Are:
We are looking for someone with at least 7 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
• Expertise in modern data architecture
• Strong practical experience in data engineering, particularly in Agile settings
• A pragmatic mindset, with an understanding of when to prioritize working solutions over perfection
• A passion for improving both code and data quality
• Knowledge in data modeling, storage techniques, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
Additional Qualifications:
• Background in software engineering and system design
• Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, DevOps, cloud computing, and data privacy/security
• Strong understanding of data governance, data mesh architectures, and reporting for business insights
