About the Role
We are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer with at-least 6 years experience for one of our important clients. The work will be performed within a cross-functional team where you will improve our clients data delivery function in the area of data analytics. This role will require cooperation with other teams and stakeholders such as product owner, data analysts, data engineers and others . Good Interpersonal skills, high confidence, great leadership skills and good communication skills for managing a team as well as stakeholders is required for this role.


Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, processes and products used as input to solution specifications of your given task. You will have excellent knowledge of automation standards as you will be tasked with developing the company’s common enterprise data warehouse platform (iData) based on Informatica power center and oracle database. You will have previous experience in the banking sector as well as documented knowledge of data-warehouse terminologies and concepts. You will also be able to improve existing solutions as well as populate ODS and data marts with needed quality data using BI solutions. You will support and advocate for data quality whilst designing secure workflows for cleansing, staging and loading with great performance.


Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Software Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering or equivalent.
Great experience working with different kinds of file formats such as mf4, json, csv and others.
Leadership skills (empathy, good communication, tolerance)
Excellent communication skills in English
Documented experience designing data warehouse solutions
Atleast minimum of 6 years development experience using Informatica Power Center tool.
Hands on skills with python
Experience in file/data handling scripts using shell or python.
Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to understand the relationship between data and business.
Great knowledge of data warehouse concepts.
