WHO YOU ARE
Do you want to help us improve the customer experience at IKEA? By really pushing your analytics skills digging into huge data sets from one of the world’s leading retail brands? And have the opportunity to make a global impact? In a friendly and collaborative working environment?
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team and work on analyzing customer order data to identify and quantify opportunities to improve the operations of our delivery and service business. Our diverse team within Data & Analytics is growing rapidly and we would love to talk with you, if you recognize yourself in the following:
Must have:
· Love for data! You are passionate about digging into data to understand the world around you.
· Excited about IKEA’s values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
· Comfortable writing code for analyzing and visualizing large data sets. Preferably, you know Python but solid experience in e.g. R or Matlab and an interest to learn Python also works.
· Confident using data and visualizations to build compelling business narratives to support decision making.
· Communicate well with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
· Good knowledge of statistical concepts such as hypothesis tests and how they can be applied in a business context.
· Strong attention to detail and a passion for data quality.
· University degree (at least MSc) in mathematics, statistics, informatics, engineering, econometrics, or related field.
Nice to have:
· Experience of databases, data models, and SQL
· Experience with BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or QlikSense
· Previous experience as a data analyst or business analyst working with product analytics to help steer technical roadmaps

OUR TEAM WITHIN IKEA AND WHAT WE OFFER
IKEA is taking huge steps in its digital transformation and our Data Analysts support digital product teams in finding and quantifying opportunities for improvements. You will dig into our historical data on millions of orders to answer questions such as:
· What are the major root causes for low customer satisfaction?
· How does communication to customers about delayed delivery affect the cancellation rate?
· How much time can we save for our customer support co-workers by developing a self-service rebooking solution for home deliveries?
· Can we proactively identify orders with a high risk of not meeting the promised delivery time?
