Our Exciting Opportunity
Our Analytics team is now looking for a passionate person within the Data Engineering area, who is interested in systemizing and developing solutions around state-of-the-art open source and commercial big data components, to join our growing team of data engineering and analytics specialists. Tapping into our massive product usage data sets, you will architect, build and optimize analytics platform and pipelines to harness our data, derive impactful insights to help guide the business with data. Here at DSI Analytics, an integral part of Networks R&D, we collect, ingest, and archive vast amounts of data from Ericsson's labs and customers all over the world.
Our mission is to provide data and insights to the whole company in order drive speed and quality in our releases, to provide our market units with intelligence for up-sell opportunities, and to optimize customer’s networks to deliver the best performance. The challenges are numerous. We must ensure that high quality data is readily available for our users. We must, based on collected data, deliver quick and precise insights to FOA (First Office Application) and CD (Continuous Deployment) projects. We must ensure that the data is protected for integrity and confidentiality and provide a delightful and reliable user experience.
You will
work closely with fellow SW Developers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Analysts, as well as operations personnel, using microservice based architecture for data engineering, statistics, and machine intelligence to deliver insights to our users.
design, evolve, document and educate others on our architectures
use many different technologies and different programming languages e.g. Java, R, Scala, Python, JavaScript, SQL, Jupyter, Tableau, ELK and Grafana to accomplish your tasks.
deploy the software on our own Server Clusters in Ericsson's Global ICT Centers in Rosersberg, using bare metal machines, virtual machines as well as on-premise cloud native deployments.work with data quality and security, cloud execution and containerization, container orchestration for big data environments.
deliver new and innovative insights to Ericsson based on the various data sets
report to Line Manager of DSI Analytics
To be successful in the role you must
have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field is required
have 2+ years of software development experiences in data analytics production system
have great teammate skills. We are looking for someone who positively supplies to our team spirit and is self-motivated
be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing the data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.
have an experience from working in/with:
all phases of development, from collecting requirements, through systemization, development, quality assurance, release & delivery, and operations & maintenance
Python programming skills
DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery & Deployment (CD&D)
Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
Git, Linux
The ideal candidate has experience also from working in/with:
building data pipelines and data wrangling and enjoying optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up
large-scale distributed data processing using e.g. Hadoop, Spark and Kafka
Java programming
building microservice based software based on Spring Boot, Java, and Maven
data warehousing, data, and machine learning pipelines/flows
