For our office in Stockholm we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Quantitative Analysis team. The Quant team focuses on delivering Data-driven decisions automation by applying Machine Learning on Energy market use cases.
Senior Data Engineer
As Senior Data Engineer in Quantitative Analysis you will work in a team that is end-to-end responsible for automated Machine Learning models. You will typically specialize in the data part of the data-driven modelling and your work will have direct and measurable business impact. In this role you will have a great chance of impacting the direction of Vattenfall’s and BA Markets’ digital transformation.
What you’ll do
• Be a leader and role model in the growing Data Engineering community in Vattenfall
• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders and other specialists to find the best solutions for our current and future data landscape
• Build, run and monitor data pipelines for Machine Learning use cases. Also take ownership of the data and work actively with data quality monitoring
• Develop a framework for professional ML modelling by connecting data services with the monitoring, the operation and the deployment of models
• Apply Machine Learning on energy market use-cases such as trading algorithms and energy consumption forecasts
We believe you have
• Several years professional experience in data engineering projects, including cloud based data pipelines and deployment of Machine Learning models
• Strong communication skills and the willingness to frequently and directly interact with IT, front office and other data-driven departments
• Experience in Cloud computing like Azure or AWS
• Experience in Big Data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Kafka
• Experience in orchestration tools like Airflow and Azure Data Factory
• Proficient knowledge in Python Programming
• An Academic degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or similar
• Fluent in English. Swedish, German or Dutch language skills are an advantage
