To be successful in the role you have proven advanced training in information technology, business information management or equivalent. We believe you bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience from a similar role. You have experience from working with data queries and are confident in reviewing code. In addition, you must prove experience with open source and/or cloud-based solutions and demonstrable experience in working with an Agile or DevOps working set-up.
You have knowledge in the following areas:
· Extensive knowledge of the principles of data management and –administration
· IT-systems and high-tech databases
· fast moving data technology landscape
· extensive knowledge of the requirements of data management systems that centralise data from different platforms and enable agility and flexibility to respond to customer needs
You possess the ability to capture and interpret business requirements in terms of information, data and database technology and confidentiality to digest large amounts of data. Furthermore, you have the recourses to perform data queries independently, actively acquire new knowledge and skills and champion new methods, digital systems and processes to improve performance. You have the ability to collaborate with others to achieve goals and have the capacity to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business.
ABOUT THE JOB
In this role you will oversee the various data systems within IKEA and drive efficient acquisition, organisation and storage of available data.
You will:
· be responsible for collecting, validating and distributing data within the organisation, to enable other disciplines performing data-related tasks to do this effectively and without risking any data loss
· be responsible for developing standard operating procedures for data handling and archiving, to ensure ongoing accuracy, validity, reuse and efficient storage of available data
· be responsible for the implementation of policies and guidelines (including GDPR compliance) for data management and maintain data management plans and operating instructions for complex business systems and architectures
· oversee IKEA’s various data systems and its available data and provide guidance in identifying and defining data requirements to other disciplines performing data-related tasks
· define requirements for first cleaning and optimization of raw data and ensure implementation of these requirements together with data architects and engineers
· use root cause research to identify data process breakdowns and together with data architects and data engineers find solutions to the breakdown
· actively explore new opportunities for data acquisition
· actively identify and address data quality issues and continuously develop and train co-workers who provide data to do this in a consistent and correct way
· support chapter lead in coaching and develop junior team members on functional expertise
· work across initiatives within Ingka Group, steering towards efficient and effective use of data
