The team

The role
As a senior data science consultant, you will build models, but even more so advise and design the most suitable solutions to the business problem at hand. We value a collaborative attitude and coworkers who want to constantly develop both themselves and their colleagues. In your role, you will have the opportunity to work closely in cross-functional teams having the ability to learn and develop from Avaus experts in different competence areas. Your main responsibilities include:

- Leading, developing and implementing mathematical models

- Performing analysis of structured and unstructured data

- Automating analyses

- Designing experiments

Who are you?
As a successful Senior Data Scientist at Avaus you are eager to develop a business understanding and able to be an analytics translator. We believe that you are critical thinking and suggesting new angles of thought and ways of working. Beside your personality, we would also like you to have:

- Master of Science/Engineering

- Deep knowledge of Python and experience in working with open source software

- Deep knowledge of Data mining and machine learning techniques

- Documented experience in developing recommender systems using collaborative filtering, matrix factorization etc.

- Databases query languages

- Fluency in English

- Finnish and/or Swedish are a plus

Practical information
This is a permanent position with a 6 months’ probation period, based at our Stockholm office at Katarinavägen 17. Starting date as soon as possible or by agreement. We offer a hybrid remote workplace and you will report to Team Lead.
