What’s in it for you?
In our department within Safe Vehicle Automation we are around 120 skilled engineers creating tomorrow’s platform solutions for our active safety and self-driving vehicles. Our Agile Release Train (ART) Autonomous Drive & ADAS Platform develops the sensor and software platform that enables development and deployment of functionality such as collision avoidance, automatic parking and autonomous driving. Our team Platform Software now offers you to join our journey in creating the world-class platform applications that will enable delivery of leading active safety and autonomous drive features to our customers. Being a part of this team, you will have a great chance to grow together with talented people who are creating a new automotive future.
What you will do
As senior data scientist you will design and build new models based on the state-of-the-art research, with focus on time series data generated by sensors and software belonging to the perception and sensor fusion stack.  You will collaborate with other data scientists both within the team and the data tribes at a company level. In collaboration with data engineers, you will identify and collect relevant data sets needed for model development and collaborate with software engineers to release the model into our products. As a senior member of the team, you will provide innovative ideas on how to improve our methods, tools and products. This is a great opportunity to join us and develop the algorithms that drive our safe autonomous vehicle.
You and your skills
To be successful in this role we see that you are a Senior Data Scientist with proven hands-on experience of applying state-of-the-art research to solve complex processing problems with data driven technologies. You are expected to bring great knowledge in statistics and apply machine learning models when applicable. In addition to a M Sc or a PhD degree in Mathematics, Data/Computer Science (or similar), you also have at least 5-10 years of experience from working with Python and Data Analytics and Machine Learning frameworks (SciKit/Pandas/TensorFlow/PyTorch). Having experience in how to deploy the models to an embedded system for inference using C++/CUDA/TensorRT is meritorious. As we are a truly international team, we see you have excellent communication skills being fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
You are a self-motivated person and driven by your technical mind-set while being a team-player, having an energetic approach to continuously learn and innovate and a passion for sharing your knowledge with others. You thrive in a dynamic environment where you can utilize your problem-solving skills.
