About Normative
At Normative we are creating the norm for carbon accounting by providing intelligence to companies to reduce their climate footprint. We translate financial data into tangible carbon insights enabling companies to understand and reduce their carbon emission. What we do has a real positive impact on the climate. You can too!
The Role
We are looking for a passionate and curious Senior Data Scientist to play an important role in building the data-driven foundation at Normative. As part of our lovely Product team you are the go-to person for useful data insights - from high impact decisions regarding our product strategy to fine-tuning different parts of our product and making sure companies can efficiently measure and understand their emissions. Without context, data is just numbers - you help us turn data into the sustainability intelligence companies need to reach net zero.
What you will do
- Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, UX Researchers and other functions throughout the company to identify and frame needs around data insights and run specific research initiatives.
- Define metrics, build dashboards, create reports and key datasets to empower data-informed product development.
- Work with engineers across the organization to understand how we collect data and what we need to do to produce reliable product data.
- Help design, develop and maintain the data infrastructure needed for analytics and data science projects.
- Share your knowledge of the Data Science space with the broader product organization, and learn together with your teammates.
We think you will be a good match if
- You have previously worked as a Product Analyst, Data Scientist, Analytics Engineer, or with Product Insights in a similar role.
- You have a demonstrated ability to translate analytical insights into clear recommendations and effectively communicate them to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You have strong experience using the Python Data Science stack, SQL for analytics, or the R statistical language.
- You enjoy diving into new datasets and use your data analytics and visualization skills to explore and explain.
- You have previous experience in designing and setting up a data infrastructure in a cloud environment.
- You have used modern analytics tooling such as Snowflake or BigQuery for warehousing, Airflow or DBT for orchestration, and Looker or Tableau for visualization.
We also believe you are
- A person that deeply cares about making a real contribution towards a sustainable future.
- Enjoying working in an environment with the typical challenges of a growing company, asking a lot of questions, and learning new things.
At Normative you will work in a fast-paced environment with driven and skilled coworkers. We trust that you do your job on time and with excellence. At Normative you’ll have opportunities for professional development and competitive benefits.
Location
Normative operates on a hybrid remote model with a main office in Stockholm. For this role you can be based either in Stockholm or work remotely.
To be hired remotely, you’ll need to be located in Sweden. We will offer you a home office set up and you will be requested to travel to Stockholm to meet your team/the company approximately 6 times per year ( depending on role). To ensure we walk the talk we use trains for up to 6 hours of travel and flights for longer travels.
We offer relocation support and information will be provided during our recruitment process.
The process
We adopt a continuous selection process, so make sure to apply as soon as possible! Normative handles sensitive financial data and we will therefore conduct a background check before signing any candidate. We will start reviewing applications in mid-August!
We welcome diversity with open arms and want to see candidates from different backgrounds and experiences.
