We target both leading online merchants and millions of Nordic consumers seeking superior digital payments and consumer finance products. In addition to our E-commerce business we have also successfully released D2C saving and loans products, apps, self-service website and merchant-facing interfaces.
We are looking for a senior Data Warehouse Engineer to take a crucial part in establishing our Qliro Exploration Hub in a cloud first solution. As a Data Warehouse Engineer, you will work in a team of data engineers and data scientists with end-to-end responsibility for the whole data ecosystem of the usage of data and information with the intention to explore and gain insights.
The Qliro Exploration Hub is at the heart of data and information analytics at Qliro and thereby also the heart of delivering upon the vision. In that centralized position we now establishing the new cloud-based Data Warehouse. In this journey we're using the latest technologies to convert data and information into insights that provide value for all our stakeholders.
Some of the technologies you will get to work with
AWS, Snowflake, Qlik Replicate, Qlik Compose, Qlik Sense, Apache Spark, Scala, Python, Airflow, Docker, SQL Server, Apache Kafka, Kafka Streaming, ksqlDB, Elastic Search, Hortonworks and NiFi.
In this role you will
- Be the go-to expert for the company with anything in the realm of Data Warehousing and data management in that context.
- Being responsible for assuring that the Data Warehouse deliver quality and trust in the data.
- Challenge the preconceived notions and create new conditions for how the Data Warehouse can be used to create benefits within the organization.
- Define the data and identify assets to be managed within the Exploration Hub. This ensures there isn’t conflict between data elements when sourced into the hub.
- Be responsible within the Data Warehouse for data and information content and meta data management related to a set of data assets.
- Maintain quality of the data and information, internally reporting on metrics, evaluating and identifying issues and coordinating and implementing corrections regularly.
- Monitor data usage to assist teams, share best practice trends in Data Warehouse use, and provide insight into how and where teams can use the Data Warehouse to help in day-to-day decision-making and reporting.
- Ensure compliance and security of the data within the Data Warehouse.

Passionate about solving complex problems and concretize the result in a solid Data Warehouse solution, ensuring quality ensured data and information. You are someone who continuously seeks improvements, enjoys learning new tools and techniques.
You have a logical and analytical mindset and are able to seamlessly communicate technical content to end users. We believe you have extensive knowledge in the data and information management area and have worked with data technologies, preferably within financial and/or related industries. Preferable you also have knowledge in information modelling and its impact on platform performance and data quality.
Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English.
You Should have
- Relevant education with a degree from a University.
- Have several years of experience from the Data Warehouse domain
- Deep knowledge in working with data quality management
- You are highly skilled with SQL and tools for querying relational data bases. A minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Deep knowledge in data modeling and tools for life cycle management of the same.
- Specific knowledge working with Data Vault as a way of modelling.
- Deep knowledge from building ETL / ELT flows.
- Designed and implemented Data Warehouses in a on prem-environment. A minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Designed and implemented Data Warehouses in a cloud solution. A minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Specifically implemented cloud-based Data Warehouse based upon Snowflake.
It´s great if you have
- Experience from Master Data Management and Master Data Management Systems
- Experience from a financial undertaker.
- Experience from working close with Finance and Credit departments.
- Experience/knowledge from Scala and Hive.
