About the position
The ART Side & Roof is one of the development ART’s within Solution Vehicle Platform and We develop Door & Greenhouse systems to be functional & user oriented with a high level of craftmanship as well as provide functional & convenient vehicle access.
We create attractive, sustainable systems with quality & safety in focus and secure a quiet and watertight user experience while contributing to a light and roomy interior & secure good visibility.
The ART Side & Roof have 130 Team members that cover both Hardware development and Software development.
The ART is divided in 5 Engineering Groups and each group is divided in 2 to 4 Agile teams.

About the team
The group Closure Mechatronics consist of 3 Agile teams divided in following setup. Side door mechatronics Team, Door Module Team and Rear End Mechatronics & Module team.
We are defining new system solutions for latches, handles and other closure mechatronic parts. We do that in close collaboration and in a Cross functional work. Each team area responsible for a common Backlog that cover all deliveries such as early AE-work to new vehicle Program development or quality matters in running production.

What you’ll do
* Cooperate globally with our full-service suppliers across the world to ensure that technical solutions and documentations are available at the right level and at the right time.
* Collaborate proactively with other Volvo cars R&D teams working with software, functions, and hardware. But also, attributes, and manufacturing to secure a cross functional delivery.
* Develop technical solutions for early Advances Engineering work to new vehicle Program development or quality matters in running production.
* Take responsibility for time, technic and cost for each specific task and secure project deliverables according to Volvo Product Development System, using Volvo Cars agile framework
* Collaborate within your team and group to share knowledge between programs and ways of working


Experience and educational background
* Experience from working in automotive industry with integration of parts in an exciting environment and experience from introducing new concepts 
* High knowledge in Mechanical systems and mechatronics
* Hardware development and Software development 
* Has been working in the automotive industry for more than 3 years, preferably at Volvo cars 
* Minimum B.Sc. grade within mechanics or similar education
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Driver license level B
