Senior Developer

Would you like to create apps for children, from their perspective, that allows them to use their imagination freely? Apps where children all across the world feel represented?
That’s what you’ll do here with us at Toca Boca.
Your future team is currently working on a new multiplayer experience, so your knowledge in this area will come in handy. The sooner you join, the bigger the impact you’ll have on the final product and systems we implement.
You’ll be able to make a real impact. This is the first online game production made at Toca Boca. The current solution for in-game network has full source access so it’s “moldeable” to our needs.
Your challenge here with us is to create a digital toy that is loved by kids and trusted by parents.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of a small (but at the same time big) and open team, in constant reflection of how to improve processes. You will be part of this, and we hope you can challenge us in how we work and help us improve. We are figuring things out as we go along - which methodologies work best, exploring documentation, sharing and code review practices etc.


You'll shape a wide range of technical features, from backend to game tools; anything from using various technologies for service infrastructure to interfacing with Unity and creating tools for a smooth production.


You will develop the project philosophies for continuous integration from anew, set best practices and help the project and team migrate to this workflow. You’ll automise our gameplay testing framework, set up smooth deployment pipelines or implement other solutions that would benefit the project.


Other areas to develop, and how to execute them, will be up to you!


Is this you?
You are an experienced developer with knowledge of C#/Unity and probably some other technologies as well.
You have experience working in the games industry, you have shipped a few games by now, and have an interest in creating experiences for children.
You strive to build clean and simple systems that integrate nicely with, and extend the existing, architecture. You know how important it is to support the current design while being ready to adapt in the future.
