Product Development Unit (PDU) Cloud RAN is an organization that will be leading the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering with a commercial solution and customer deployment this year. The new PDU will contain in one organization total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks & capability to contribute to relevant open source communities.
PDU Cloud RAN is part of Business Area Networks (BNEW) where we count on our employees to truly embody its three C’s, Customer Focus, Collaboration and Can-do, to drive the realization of the Cloud RAN portfolio.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Developer with the aptitude to take technical lead in the domain of Application Observability. In a modern cloud native CI/CD pipeline, instant feedback to the developer at all levels of staging is key. It does not make any sense to continually push out changes to the pipeline without knowing if they make things better or worse. The functionality to provide the framework for such feedback platform for the use of all Applications running on top of our Cloud RAN architecture, is at the heart of this position! Overall, your daily job will be to ensure that we as a company succeed in delivering a cloud native RAN offering to our customers, specifically in the domain of Application Observability, meaning functionality for Collection/Monitoring/Logging/Tracing of data to facilitate quality feedback loops in the CI/CD pipeline.

To be Successful in this role, YOU:
Are an engineer and a technical leader helping your team to both deliver on short-term commitments and to evolve our architecture into the future
Are just as comfortable whiteboarding technical solutions with engineering teams as you are communicating those solutions to management and customers alike
Are a confirmed technical leader with a challenger attitude in combination with a genuine understanding of SW R&D throughout all development phases
Are passionate about driving collaborations across multiple business areas within a large organization
Have technical education on university level in a relevant field, or similar competence gained elsewhere
Have 7+ years of product development experience from relevant field, preferably from microservice based products and/or hyperscaler cloud providers type of environments
Have specific experience and domain competence in in the domain of Application Observability, meaning use-case as well as implementation level competence of functionality for Collection/Monitoring/Logging/Tracing of data, to facilitate quality feedback loops in CI/CD pipelines
Have demonstrated experience of achieving customer delivery timelines in application development and helping others to deliver on their accountabilities. All while balancing cost, time to market and quality.
Have deep insights in legacy as well as modern SW architectures, systemization and technology trends
Have domain competence in areas relating to cloud architectures, container orchestration, network automation, network element life-cycle management and orchestration.
