Senior Developer for Scania’s Autonomous Vehicle Cloud

Senior Developer for Scania’s Autonomous Vehicle Cloud

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania and the transport industry are experiencing a big shift towards Intelligent, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles. Not only will there be no drivers in the vehicles, they will be coordinated by intelligent planning and scheduling algorithms making the efficiency and utilization rate of the transports go up. This means taking a wider perspective than the single vehicle and focusing on coordinating a fleet of Autonomous Vehicles with our cloud services.

We are looking for people who combine software-development skills with an interest in requirements and the way your product is used by a customer.

We offer
We offer an interesting and challenging job, with plenty of scope for new ideas. Scania’s culture is characterised by openness, diversity and respect for the individual. Our people are our most important resource, so we invest in employee training. We will give you the opportunity to develop your skills so you can grow with us.

Position within a small team
The DevOps team of currently five people is responsible for providing maps to the Cloud Environment used by Scania’s autonomous vehicle and services. These maps allow different parts of the autonomous cloud to optimize the coordination of vehicles and provide intelligence to the vehicle based on its localization. The team’s work is substantial in sites such as in Australia, within cities and open road. Despite the currently clear focus on maps, the team is expected and ready to adapt to changes in what they work with. Our microservices are deployed in Amazon Web Services and developed through a strong team effort and in collaboration with other teams and partners.

Your profile
You are a team player and understand what makes exceptional team work. As a person you are self-motivated, inspire others and can take on complex product development in a systematic and structured way in a team. You dare to try in order to learn.
You should understand, or have a strong willingness to learn

• C# .NET Core, backend or fullstack development
