About this opportunity
Do you want to be a part of one of the best Thermal Design Teams in the world? Do you love working in a team that supports each other to achieve great results? This is your chance! We are now hiring a thermal designer to our team in Kista, Stockholm. At Ericsson in Sweden, we are a unit of more than 30 highly talented Thermal Designers who supports all of Ericsson with our expertise. We collaborate with our thermal design colleagues at the other R&D Centres both in Beijing, Chengdu, Ottawa and Sweden.
You will
Work and collaborate with other thermal designers, both in Kista and globally
Drive, foster and participate in a learning, innovative and creative culture
Encourage collaboration between our teams and other teams both inhouse and globally
Lead and drive the work with our sub-suppliers to develop hardware such as fan trays, vapor chambers and heat pipes
Write and be responsible for hardware requirement specifications
Co-ordinate project and sub-supplier time plans
Work with production, quality and supply quality engineers
Perform FMEAS and risk assessments
Take active part in task forces and RCAs
Perform and analyse verification tests of our thermal products in our labs
Perform trouble shooting and customer support when needed
Be responsible for your own development
Help to drive continuous improvements of tools and processes to improve efficiency
Manage Lessons Learned and feedback findings to line organization and our teams
To be successful in the role you must have
At least 5+ years of relevant work experience, i.e., project/object management, team leader or similar.
Knowledge of the ICT industry in general and the Telecom Industry in particular
M. Sc. or Ph.D. Level education in a relevant technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
Willingness to work in various teams and have a genuine interest in supporting others
Knowledge and good understanding of R&D and the concepts of efficient product development
Large degree of flexibility, willingness to change and to take on different tasks
Good communication skills, proficient in spoken and written English
Good understanding of the HW design and development process
The ability to work across different cultures to find ways of working and identify the best approach for change when needed
Ability to drive work independently to get things done and deliver results on time
Collaborate, drive and work with others to achieve results
Capable of taking fact-based timely and courageous decisions without letting prestige get in the way
Accountability – taking full responsibility for your own actions and performance
