Senior Developer with SQL Expertise

Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

Our group is a part of Sales & Service IT delivery and supporting the areas for Warranty and Parts Pricing. In the portfolio, we have over ten applications with a mix of bought systems and developed at Scania. In line with our strategy at Scania we have started our journey towards modern technology such as AWS, API, etc. We are today 14 people in the group and will now expand with a SQL developer to be able to make this journey. We have support from lead solutions architects, cloud network team as well as other teams at Scania that has already done this transformation. For the coming years, we have some exciting projects, for example, we are rolling out our current system for Parts Pricing globally to the Scania distributors.  

Your responsibilities

You will be part of our team that works tightly with our business. Today the development of our system is done by a managed service team off-shore and suppliers. Your experience as a developer, SQL knowledge and agile mentality is meant to bring value to the team in order to deliver better IT for the business and the markets globally.

Your profile

We believe that you are a senior developer with more than 10 years of well-documented experience. You have skills in:


• SQL development
• Database and integrations
• App modelling and implementation
• Knowledge in software and application architecture
• Knowledge in AWS or other cloud solutions
• If you also have skills in Data science it will be a big plus for us

You are a communicating person who likes to share your knowledge and also teach others. With your experience, you can support the team and take lead in our joint mission to succeed with the challenges ahead. You have an agile mindset and can communicate in both English and Swedish. To succeed in this role, you have strong stakeholder management skills and want to understand the business we support.
