Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
EPVS group is responsible for VCA cable harness for chassis with traditional powertrains but it also has the overall responsibility for methodology connected to cable harness design within Scania. Together with us you will, a part from being a cable harness designer, be involved in development and implementation of new methods for cable harness design.
We are currently involved in multiple exciting projects and more are on its way to be started. Within methodology we have started a big project that will give us a totally new tool chain at Scania within electronics development.
The group, EPVS, consists of two teams. One team is responsible for the installation of the cable harness in our chassis. This team uses Catia V5 as its tool. The other team is responsible for the circuit diagrams and cable harness drawings which describes how each individual harness is connected and is used as the product documentation towards our suppliers. This team uses Saber Harness and Saber Bundle as tools.
We are looking for a senior development engineer that can strengthen the team within some of our responsibility areas. If you are passionate about development of methods and processes, then we have exciting challenges that are in need of you support. If you are passionate about design of cable harness, then you will be an integral cog in either the Catia or Saber team.
Within cable harness development you have many contact surfaces and the work consists of a lot of collaboration with other groups and cross functions e.g. production and purchasing. Our section has a close collaboration since all group are either designing cable harnesses, cable harness components or developing the power system and its components.
Your profile
• You like to think outside the box and are motivated by technical challenges.
• You are driven and want to take own initiative in order progress the work.
• You have a bachelor or masters of science degree in either mechanical/electro design or similar work experience.
• You master English both verbally and written.
