Senior Development Engineer - Package Design

Carton Economy is responsible for Development and Engineering of a product portfolio, with the strategic intention of enabling Tetra Pak to build a new costumer and consumer base in the developing and emerging markets with low purchasing power.The product portfolio needs to meet the value chain demands on products produced in simple and robust packaging lines with a low cost profile targeted to reach mass markets.

The Carton Economy platform is one of the growth engines of the Tetra Pak group and has enjoyed a double digit growth during the last 5 years due to effective product innovation and deployment.

The Secondary & Primary Package Design group within Carton Economy is looking for a Package Design Engineer.Our role is to support projects, package specification owners as well as product management with package design competence.As current projects are for economy markets such as China, Vietnam, Russia and Peru, some travel is part of our work.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- To translate consumer/retail needs into well-judged primary, secondary and merchandising package designs and to coordinate initial tests on package concepts/solutions including technical and cost performance
- To build and share knowledge about package distribution solutions both for hand and automatic packing solutions as well as understand package distribution flow through the value chain to secure package performance at point of sales
- To provide idea generation on package and distribution solutions, aiming at break-through innovations


Kvalifikationer

You have an academic degree within engineering and a documented (minimum of 5 years) experience in package design, packaging logistics, merchandising solutions or material development.
