Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.Who we are
Our group is developing applications that enable collaboration and product information sharing within Traton. We are working closely with PDM/PLM systems at Scania, as well as other brands within the Traton family. As an example, one application we are currently investigating is an integration platform that connect several different PDM/PLM systems with bi-directional data flow. In this, we work closely with our colleagues at other brands to develop solutions jointly.
Today, our development work is done in five agile teams, supported by two architects and a broader SAFe framework in which we are organised. The teams are an inclusive mix of people with different backgrounds, interests and skills, and are really motivated to learn together to develop further. We are now looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our group, with a specific focus on PDM/PLM!
Your profile
As an engineer in our group, you will be part of our change journey together with colleagues at other Traton brands. You will work in the forefront with some of our emerging business needs, as we increase collaboration between brands. Your background can be in the PDM/PLM area, but we know that the person we’re looking for can learn quickly, and will learn on the job.
Experience from several different programming languages and environments is helpful, as we work with a broad range of applications. Experience from operations and infrastructure management with a focus on AWS is also a merit. Initially, you will be working with a third party solution for PDM/PLM integration, where the group you are in takes responsibility for custom development, configurations, operations, support & maintenance. Over time, the role may grow and come to include working with other third party solutions or our own solutions for PDM/PLM.
In the role, you will also have a lot of interpersonal contacts with our different stakeholders in the Traton group, other software development groups and third party suppliers. Having emphathy and being curious are key traits to succeed in the role.
Furthermore, we expect you to express yourself fluently in English, written as well as spoken. If you speak other languages, this is meritorious as we work in a highly international area.
What we can offer you
As a Scania employee, you have an almost endless variety of future professional development opportunities and great colleagues. Within our group, you will have the possibility to be part of, and shape, our future journey. We recognize each others' contributions, enjoy working together and support each other on the way there.
Working at Scania you are offered benefits such as a result based bonus, occupational pension, flexible working hours and lunch at reduced prices. Scania is a family-friendly employer that offer many options to maintain a healthy work-life balance. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service from Stockholm City, via Liljeholmen to Södertälje, called Scania Job Express. We often work one-two days a week together in Södertälje and for the days when you want to work from home, we provide desks, chairs, and suitable equipment to provide a comfortable and ergonomic work environment.
When you are in the office, you can choose from several different offices, including our activity-based offices with a lot of creative and flexible spaces. We also have an office hub close to the central station in Stockholm that you can use whenever you like. You can also use Scania Go to transport yourself between the different locations using our internal buses or electric bikes.
