We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team, where you will design and build the infrastructure of our game server technology.
Gaming is a technically demanding industry. Expectations are high, and performance is critical. We tackle these requirements pragmatically and won’t shy away from custom solutions if it helps achieve our goals.
We are a hybrid workplace, where you are expected to come to the office once every two weeks at a minimum. You will join a team that supports each other and has a common goal of creating cutting edge technology.
Your day-to-day as a Senior DevOps Engineer
Build and improve our Kubernetes infrastructure on Azure.
Identify risks, flaws and propose how we may improve.
Apply standardized tech to non-standard use cases, to meet our high expectations.
Manage our IaC setup in Terraform.
Refine our observability and alerting setup as we grow.
Tackle complex technical challenges, as a team.
Manage CI/CD pipelines for our upcoming game platform.
Build scripts to automate pipelines and processes.
Work closely with our server and game teams.
Requirements
5+ years of experience with Azure (or equivalent) cloud environments.
5+ years of experience with DevOps tools and release engineering.
3+ years of experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with web services, databases and their relating architectures.
Experience with infrastructure as code, e.g. Terraform / Crossplane.
Strong networking fundamentals, e.g. load balancing, CDNs, WAF, DNS & vnets/subnets.
Good to have
Experience with building and maintaining large Kubernetes clusters.
Experience with multi-regionality including geo-replication, failover etc.
Experience with modern observability using OpenTelemetry and/or Prometheus.
Familiarity with the CNCF ecosystem of open-source projects.
Familiarity with GitOps using ArgoCD or Flux.
Interest in (multiplayer) games.
