Senior DevOps Engineer - Toca Days

Senior DevOps Engineer - Toca Days

Arbetsbeskrivning

Toca Days is our most ambitious project yet - a friendly multiplayer world for children celebrating the excitement and quirkiness of everyday life. A 3D world where kids can play and explore in real time through their own avatar.

We’re in the process of consolidating our cloud tech into one cloud provider. To do this we need an experienced DevOps Engineer with focus on AWS, infrastructure, and automation, with deep knowledge of cloud platforms, service and solid engineering practices to allow us to fully utilize the platform.

You’d be working in Toca Days while closely collaborating with Central Tech that is responsible for the tech stack as a platform. You’d be in a position to set best practices, and have ideas and opinions about how we improve both efficiency and quality.

What you’ll be doing

In this role you’re involved in the full product cycle for services, infrastructures and automation in the Toca Days project, from green field development to maintaining the scalability and performance with millions of users.

You’ll lead the creation of processes that serve developers with a fast, consistent and easy way to integrate and deploy services and game builds and with that let game team developers focus on building the best possible game.

You will be creating processes and tools and introducing best practices for things like AWS usage, monitoring, cloud strategy and handling security for backend services. Together with the rest of the team, you’ll define and set up common levels of monitoring of backend services.

You’ll be the one leading the work with our existing cloud infrastructure, and will support and coach the other developers in the usage of AWS and tools within infrastructure, ensuring sustainable development processes and workflows.
Is this you?

You have solid professional experience with AWS at scale, preferably for non-web consumers (apps, other services, apis etc). Along with that, you have experience building and deploying services in the cloud, and living in an Infrastructure as Code environment.

You have knowledge about containerization (i.e. Docker), Kubernetes and IaC (Terraform and/or CloudFormation), and a good understanding of databases preferably both relational and nosql databases.

With excellent communication skills, you’re able to merge non-technical requirements into a technical solution

If you have knowledge about the Unity build pipeline and assets packaging pipelines, that’s a plus.

Good to know!

This position is full time and based in our Stockholm studio with a hybrid working model (part office, part working from home). We apply a 6-month probationary period. You’ll need to be located in Sweden as we are unable to support with relocation. As we’re an international company, with over 20 nationalities working here, and millions of users all over the world, you need to be fluent in English. Your application should therefore be in English.
