Overview
SCA is hiring Senior Digital Product Owner to Lead the creation and definition of SCA’s core digital solutions and services globally and provide specialist knowledge and thought leadership to business partners across the organisation.
As Senior Digital Product Owner you will ensure that the delivered digital solutions and services support the business in achieving their marketing, sales and engagement goals.
As a Senior Digital Product Owner you will work closely with different areas of the SCA business including global and local Marketing teams and the IT teams. In addition you will work with and manage External Agencies and Implementation Partners to deliver strong digital capability to the overall business.
You will envision the digital capability required by SCA from concept, to define the minimum viable product and on into the continuous development of the capability. You will deliver strong digital platform capabilities and services that will drive SCA businesses to achieve their marketing, sales and engagement goals. The solutions which you develop and manage will serve as the basis that our brands need to perform globally, in brand sites, eCommerce, media and advertising, social media, CRM.
You will be responsible for understanding the needs of the business and scoping the projects and capability that SCA’s needs to begin performing in different areas of digital. In this role you will have a close eye on delivering solutions quickly but also be able to take the long term view to extend that capability.
You will be part of the Digital Transformation Team with the stated mission of "Helping SCA accelerate its use of digital channels to engage, sell to and service the end consumer of our products. We will achieve this through brand communication, customer engagement and loyalty programs and, where relevant, our own online shops. Importantly we will do this together with our customers; using digital to make our products more successful for them."
This role is part of a Global team and can be based in Ismaning, near Munich, Germany or Gothenburg, Sweden.
Main Tasks
Be responsible for bringing into operation global digital solutions and services such as, Content Management Systems (CMS), eCommerce platforms (B2B and B2C Commerce), Product Information Management, Social, Mobile, Customer Relationship Management.
Define and control the scope of assigned global digital solutions and services based on the needs of the Business teams
With the Scrum Master, manage the overall prioritisation of business and technical requirements within the assigned global digital solutions and services.
Drive the delivery plan with the Scrum Master in line with business priorities
Own the lifecycle and continuous development of the capabilities
Ensure that the needs of the business teams are serviced with the capabilities
Manage and maintain a clear road map of development for the capability or service
Directly or in association with Information Technology team manage External Agencies and Implementation Partners to deliver strong digital solutions and services to the business
Provide the knowledge and expertise in key areas of competencies
Assist in developing competitive digital capabilities across SCA and develop and disseminate digital best practice for SCA
Coach or mentor other less experienced roles and collaborate
Experience and Background requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience of working on digital projects
Minimum of 5 year of experience of operating as Product Owner in agile projects
Comprehensive experience of managing one or more of the following areas of Digital:
Content management
Consumer communications
eCommerce
Product information management (Hybris // 3rd party content aggregators)
Digital advertising
Hands on experience of managing Digital agencies and 3rd party vendors
Ideally a background of working within an internal digital team is a large organisation
Experience running detailed workshop sessions with business teams
Experience of running detailed workshop with technical teams
Demonstrable experience of communicating:
Technical concepts to business teams
Business needs to technical teams
Significant exposure to working and communicating with a broad set of stakeholders.
Experience reading and writing business analysis techniques
Fluent in English Swedish or German would be an advantage
Flexibility to travel
