Senior Director of Commissioning (Skellefteå)

Northvolt has an exciting job offer as Senior Director of Commissioning to build and lead our commissioning team. You will take ownership of commissioning of the large-scale battery factory being built in Northern Sweden. Your responsibilities will cover steering both the commissioning planning during the design phase as well as directly controlling the execution phase. The scope of this position is for the complete Northvolt Ett project.

What we expect you to do:

Develop the Commissioning Philosophy for Upstream and Downstream plants

-
Develop the commissioning schedule for the scope to be integrated into the overarching NV project plan, integrating NV equipment vendor, 3rd parties or internal NV groups as required.

With NV specialists and vendors develop the Commissioning Protocols and Performance Tests to meet NVEtt contractual completion targets.

Coordinate the systemization of the NVEtt project and commissioning workscope with the delivery teams, contractors, and Northvolt equipment vendors and partners.

Build the Completions & Commissioning team, recruit, manage and coordinate project commissioning resources from Northvolt to ensure delivery during both the planning and execution phase.

Drive the day-to-day execution, tracking, control and performance of completion and commissioning at site, meaning driving equipment and systems commissioning.

Develop the monitoring and control of completion and commissioning at site, reporting KPIs and progress as required by NV to ensure delivery of the scope

Ensure all relevant environmental, health and safety standards are being followed, encouraging a positive health and safety culture

Arrange turnover of all relevant commissioning documentation, BIM model and required certification including both NV and legal requirements to the Manufacturing team.

Qualifications/education/experience:

A relevant university degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or similar). Engineering degree preferred but not required

-
10+ years working experience of relevant industrial experience of completions and commissioning management, ideally in high-tech manufacturing, pharma or assembly settings.

Automotive style production line commissioning is an advantage

-
Must have worked in multi-cultural environment

-
Fluency in written and spoken English.

Creation and implementation of completions and commissioning processes.

Track record as commissioning manager driving complex project commissioning in design and execution through to start-up and handover.
