Senior Early Phase Project Manager - Emerging Technologies Purchasing

GTP is located in 50 sites around the world, has 1 300 employees and a yearly spend of about 120 BSEK. We have about 2,600 suppliers in serial production that delivers 1,6 billion parts to Group Truck plants annually. The GTP Emerging Technologies Purchasing (ETP) function has the responsibility for New Technologies & Markets (where this role is hosted), Vehicle Automation and Electromobility. About the role
There is now an opportunity for you to join the ETP New Technologies & Markets function and contribute to the development of our new products. As a Senior Early Phase Project Manager - Purchasing, you are representing GTP in the ongoing Early phase projects and you plan and actively lead the purchasing deliverables in primarily the Hydrogen and Fuel cells related areas. This means that you are the key purchasing interface towards the projects’ Chief Project Managers as well as the Early phase Portfolio Managers in Group Trucks Technology (GTT). Another important task in this role is to bring the innovation from suppliers and other external stakeholders into the projects and Proof of Value initiatives and to continue our transition from a reactive to a proactive way of working in Early Phases.
You will work closely with project managers from other functions, Commodity and Project buyers in GTP, prototype purchasing teams in GTT as well as your other colleagues in Emerging Technologies Purchasing. You lead and secure all the purchasing deliverables according to the project requirements and gate criteria’s and take an active part in developing the technologies of tomorrow.
Who are you?
You have a Masters or Bachelor university degree within relevant field (e.g. in Purchasing Management), or comparable work experience.
You have experience from Purchasing and/or Product Development within the automotive industry.
Background as a Project Manager is considered to be a strong merit.
