At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.

Role Overview
We are seeking senior level Electric Propulsion System Engineers to help design and develop our electric propulsion system, including the electric motors, motor controllers and variable-pitch propellers. This will be a broad role covering design, analysis and testing.
You will work in the Electric Propulsion Systems department, part of the engineering organization, and take broad responsibility for development, qualification and certification of the integrated electric propulsion management system. We are seeking a senior level Electric Propulsion System Engineer to help design and develop our electric propulsion management system, equivalent in function to a traditional FADEC system specifically developed for electric propulsion.
Qualifications

BS or MS in engineering (Electrical/Electronic)
-
Minimum 10 years experience in electrical propulsion systems
-
Experience with aircraft propulsion systems and propellers, including Full Authority propulsion control systems.

Experience working in an EASA approved design organization or international equivalent
-
Experience with aircraft propulsion system design, development & certification (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25)

Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English

Eagerness to work with others

The ideal candidate would have

Experience working in an aerospace start-up environment.

Working knowledge of systems engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761)

Working knowledge of Airborne hardware and software development assurance processes (RTCA DO-178 & 254)
