Morgårdshammar is a worldwide well-known company located in Smedjebacken and is since 1987 a part of the Danieli Group, Italy. Danieli is one of the three largest suppliers in the world of equipment and complete plants to the metal industry.

Morgårdshammar is Danielis division for long products, with special focus on equipment for special steels. Another product line includes design and supply of roller guides for rolling mills.


We are looking for a Senior electrical / automation engineer

Holds a Bachelor or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Has a minimum of eight years of working experience preferable in the steel / rolling mills segment.
Is strongly result-oriented, capable of working independently as well as in teams and has a logical approach to problem solving.
Is fluent in written and spoken English.
Has practical field commissioning experience.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for Electrical/Automation.
Participate as sales support for the marketing department.
Project-related electrical engineering; Motor & sensor list, functional descriptions, dimensioning of motors, Electrical layouts, Writing manuals and instructions.
Responsible for the applicable regulations and standards are followed.
Participate in the purchase of electrical equipment, perform / prepare technical quotation evaluation.
Commissioning at customer plants.
