About the company
Our client is a leading global company within the mining, infrastructure and natural resources industries. They develop and produces innovative drill rigs, rock excavation and construction equipment. They are over 2000 employees based in Örebro, Sweden.
About the team
You will be part of a helpful and ambitious team of 19 engineers who work with advanced mobile machines with electric drives and sophisticated control systems with a high level of autonomous solutions. Their mainly focus is development of intelligent machines with a high focus on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability since the company is expanding towards electrification of their products.
Your role
Your main focus will be to select and develop the components to the electrical power system including traction battery, electrical motors, drives, electrical cabinets, cabling and power control system. You will design and update component drawings and specifications and be a part of the complete power system design process together with the system engineers. Since you work close to the factory the assignment also includes test and evaluation of different solutions on the machines.
Your profile
We think that you have a bachelor or master in electrical engineering or equivalent educational background. You have experience from working within electrical powertrains for a couple of years and know how to put together components into a system and evaluate so that they meet the requirements of the project. You have a strong technical interest and you are willing to take responsibility and have the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Good to have
- It´s definetely a plus if you have experience working with mobile/autonomous machines or vehicles
- Experience from testing and verification
- System knowledge, be aware of certain standards and legal requirements that exist
- Simulation of electrical systems or powertrains in simulink
- Knowledge in autocad or creo.
- Good command of Swedish and English, verbal and written.
