We are looking for a Senior Engineer to take lead in the support to bodybuilders for Scania trucks as well as the development when it comes to the electrical interface for the bodybuilders.
The department Customized Truck Development is responsible for customer and market adaptations of trucks as well as complete vehicles support including bodywork.
The team Bodywork Engineering is responsible for the bodybuilder support and to support the markets regarding all technical questions from the bodybuilders and to support the distributors in their work with complete vehicles.
This is achieved with Technical Support to bodybuilders, Scania Bodybuilder Web-site and Bodybuilder training and at the same time influencing in Scania projects to keep Scania the most attractive truck to work with. By giving the bodybuilder optimal prerequisites we reduce lead-time, lower costs, secure quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
You will
• represent Scania Research & Development in technical dialogues with bodybuilders, customers and local market representatives
• support the bodybuilders in their daily work to facilitate bodybuilding, possibly hands on at the bodybuilder
• visit bodybuilders on Scania markets to understand the challenges the bodybuilders experience
• be involved in Scanias development projects and transfer the information from the bodybuilders
• support engineers within Scania in understanding customers need as well as bodybuilders challenges and manage technical issues internally connected to bodywork within the electrical area
• develop and perform training of Scania pre-sales departments as well as specific bodybuilders in bodybuilding technology, specifically within the electrical area
You profile
Your main experience is that you have good technical knowledge and preferable experience from the bodybuilding industry or from a Scania dealer. Preferable, you are an electrical engineer or a mechanical engineer with interest for electrics and programming. Former Scania experience is a plus.
You know how complete trucks are used when it comes to the customer interface and especially handling of the bodybuilder functions e.g. using winch, use of a loading crane and handling a three-way tipper. Simply be familiar in what the user of the vehicle experience and need.
It is also important to be able to handle the bodybuilders as well as Scania organisation in a professional way, eye-to-eye, for technical discussions. Responsive, ambitious, committed, analytical and communicative skills are some key words for a players in our team.
Main part of conversation is in English but you must be able to handle Swedish since the Truckbodybuilder portal (Bodybuilder guidelines) is produced in Swedish.
