The Senior Electrical Supervisor is responsible for inspection and supervison of the following areas of the project: Wind Farm Cabling, Grid Connection interfaces, Control and Communication Systems.
Authorities: Authority, to make technical decisions within this work package after consulting
the site manager and when needed the engineering manager. The right to obtain and receive all information relevant to the HV systems and infrastructure implementation.
Qualification, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
Able to liaise with other departments/clients where necessary.
Electrical experience within wind energy projects.
Experience of dealing with external partners and local authorities.
Electrical Engineering Qualification in Sweden.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work within the project team to ensure the success of the project.
Liaise with other project team members and support functions.
- evaluate and suggest cable route planning taking QA/QC and environmental conditions into consideration and being constructed according to the technical requirements of the EPC contract such as
· validation of cable trenching and foundation interface, bedding, validate that MV cables and fibre optic cables are installed against a method statement (laying methodology, the separation between cables, junction box installation)
· validation that testing of cables is performed on cables and a test certificate is provided
- participate in site construction meetings that contain cable installation scope of work
- ensure good interface with cable contractor and EPC Contractor to obtain solid communication, dialogue and discuss cable installation solution proposals to maintain progress according to program and mitigate upcoming technical challenges
- Ensure that the installation is conducted using Electricity Industry safety rules;
- Undertake adequate safety walks on site in order to ensure that the work is be- ing carried out in a safe manner
- Responsible for the co-ordination of all interfaces between the WTG, MV cables and grid;
- Provide documentation for the defects register and defects notification to the EPC Contractor
- Ongoing monitoring of the contractors’ design and performance to ensure that design are progressing in a manner to satisfactorily meet the requirements of the project;
- Review of contractors’ final documentation to ensure that the documentation meets the contractual requirements.
