We are a part of Epiroc that works as an independent unit developing market leading surface drill rigs. You will be joining a team of electrical and system designers with a wide span of experience that works closely together developing the next generation electrical system as well as developing the current products and solving problems for our customers. The team members support each other in the wide range of challenges that we face which means you will have the possibility to learn new things every day and share your own knowledge with other team members.
Your mission
You will be working with developing cutting-edge electrical technology involving battery systems, electrical motors, drives and connecting system up to 1000V and will be in the forefront of transforming the business.
The main focus of the work will be to select and develop the components to the electrical power system including traction battery, electrical motors, drives, electrical cabinets, cabling and power control system. This means designing and updating component drawings and specifications, often in cooperation with our suppliers. You will also be a part of the complete power system design process together with the system engineers.
In this role you will be working in close vicinity to the factory which means that there are great opportunities to see the end result of the projects and also to test and evaluate different solutions on actual machines during the projects.
Your profile
To enjoy the work, we think you have a genuine interest in technology and a desire to learn more about the products you are working with. As a person you are innovative, willing to take responsibility and have the ability to work independently. Good collaboration skills are essential since work is performed in cross-functional teams. You have a structured and analytical approach where you combine theory and practice and the ability to deliver results according to the set goals.
You have a documented academic background within relevant area or other highly qualified engineering background. In this role you need to have good command of English, verbal and written. It is also preferable to have the Swedish language or an ambition to learn Swedish over time.

The position is located in Örebro, Sweden.
