At ABB Robotics we develop, manufacture and market robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. The automotive industry and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry and pharmaceuticals, are automating their production with our robots. Main R&D and production sites are located in Sweden and China.

Your responsibilities
· Develop modules and concepts to be included in our new controller platform.
· Work together with external design houses to integrate modules.
· Secure field quality and continuous improvement of both the new and the existing platform.
· Select components and manage BOM (component database is handled by 3rd party).
· Close collaboration with other R&D teams, external design partners, module owners, test engineers, production, purchasing etc. both in Sweden and China.
· Other assignments e.g. process improvement, support SW team, review PCB layout etc.
· Live ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
· Electronics engineer with a true interest in technology. Preferably M.Sc. in Electronics engineering or similar and/or several years working experience with electronics design.
· Advantageous is knowledge within computer systems, measurement systems, I/O, safety, mixed analog design, ethernet, fieldbuses or similar.
· You have analytical mind and ability to make sound decisions regarding technical solutions.
· You are positive, prestigeless, self-driven, and result-oriented with excellent collaboration skills.
