High quality and innovative hardware designs are important factors for our continued growth and future success. There are still many challenges ahead of us and we are looking for a senior Electronics Engineer with a genuine interest in hardware design to strengthen our Electronics team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As part of the Electronics team you will participate in product development projects targeting our current generation of products.

Your main tasks will be to:

* Perform feasibility studies of the electronic design
* Evaluate solutions and select suitable components
* Create electronic design schematics
* Support our EMS partners with prototype production
* Perform tests and verifications of the electronic design
* Handle regulatory approvals (EMC and safety)
* Create production documentation

The electronic design will be done in close cooperation with PCB CAD engineers, software engineers and mechanical engineers in order to create an optimal hardware design and high quality products. You will also work together with the Operations department, assisting in production start up and optimization work as well as handle contacts with component distributors, subcontractors and manufacturers. You will thus be responsible for the electronics design in the project from start to finish.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We expect you to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering and experience from a wide range of areas within electronic design. You have a good understanding of system level design of complex products combined with deep knowledge within both analog and digital design techniques. 

You are also expected to have a good understanding of other areas within engineering and the ability to facilitate collaboration with other disciplines such as software and mechanical design teams. Whenever needed you are also comfortable in taking a lead position in the design team and help others with planning and solving any issues in a proactive and efficient way.  

You have professional experience from working with all parts of the product development cycle ranging from early stages of conceptual and system level design, through the design and verification phase as well as final EMC and regulatory approvals. Designing electronics in schematic capture programs, hands-on verification of the electronics design in advanced lab environment as well as EMC testing is part of your everyday business. Experience from product development targeted for high volume production will be considered as a plus.

We believe that you are a highly motivated and outgoing person with good communication skills in both English and Swedish. You are also able to work efficiently both individually with limited supervision as well as within a team of other highly skilled engineers.

THE ELECTRONICS TEAM
Together with PCB CAD and mechanical engineering teams we are responsible for the design and development of the hardware in Axis products. We act as a knowledge center in this area and collaborate with other departments within R&D to develop our future products. We are responsible for the regulatory approvals (such as EMC and Safety) of our products. We also work in close cooperation with units responsible for e.g. production, logistics, quality, support and product management.
