Our Global R&D team works on a diverse range of products and technology including intelligent camera systems, battery sipping security sensors, advanced access control solutions, and bespoke user interface devices.

Our team, the CU Platform SW team, is responsible for the platform software of the gateway, including the Linux OS, DevOps, modem, WIFI and radio technology. 

About the role – why you should apply

This role is based in Malmö but you will have a global playground since our team members are located in both Malmö and Madrid. You will develop and script our Jenkins jobs to improve building and testing of our team’s software deliveries. You will also manage, maintain, and configure our servers to improve efficiency, and security.  

This assignment has two unique differentiating factors; First of all, you will be a vital part of the development team and your work will be directly impacting our products, both during development and after launch maintenance. Secondly, beside of supporting our development team, you will also be able to actively participate in the planning, development and improving our existing products used by millions of our customers.

About the candidate profile – what we expect you to bring

We are looking for senior software engineer with experience and passion in supporting your team in many different aspects. We expect you to be open minded and with a change mindset to help us evolve our product and systems. Since our product is running embedded Linux, we expect you to have experience with Linux OS, yocto build system knowledge.

A successful candidate shall have good communication skills and ability to clearly convey detailed technical information for the team members, as well as providing high-level updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
* Minimum 7 years of work experience in relevant field
* Experienced in Jenkins, e.g. developing and scripting Jenkins jobs, automation with Jenkins (build, test, deploy, CI/CD)
* Professional experience in development support for embedded development teams
* Experience in software configuration management systems like Git, Gerrit, Bitbucket and incident tracking tools like Jira.
* Experience in embedded Linux and yocto
* Proficient technical communication skills, both written and oral
* Proficient English skills
* Optional: Python and other scripting languages
* Optional: C programming language
