At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.

We are now looking for a Senior EMI/EMC High Voltage Engineer to join us in Gothenburg.

Your mission

The Senior EMI/EMC High Voltage Engineer (Electrical Magnetic Interference/Electrical Magnetic Compatibility) will help design and develop the aircraft and its installed systems. As an electric aircraft, this may entail new and novel approaches to meeting the qualification requirements, in some cases requiring an innovative approach to the system design. This will be a broad role covering design support, analysis, test, and compliance finding. In this role, you will provide specialist support to all other engineering groups including systems and structures.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop aircraft level requirements for system & structure design

Design guidance/methodology for structure & system designs to use in design analysis and system/equipment qualification tests

Develop, plan, and execute aircraft level validation & verification activities.


You will report to the Head of Avionics & Electrical Systems and your place of work will be at our main office located in central Gothenburg, Sweden.
Skills & Requirements

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in an industry company environment (e.g.: aerospace, automotive, equipment manufacturer)
- Experience with product development through the entire design, development & certification lifecycle
- Direct experience with High Voltage (800V) EMC design for certification, including protection and testing methods
- Experience with Electromagnetic Simulation tools
- Experience in witnessing laboratory, development or integration testing of HV components, especially power converters
- Detailed knowledge of equipment EMC qualification requirements, levels and test methods
- Detailed knowledge about conducted emissions from power converters
- Detailed knowledge of equipment EMC integration in platforms, installation rules and test methods
- Detailed knowledge of electrical bonding rules
- Knowledge of systems & safety engineering principles for safety critical systems
- Proficiency coordinating activities of engineers internally and in partner supplier companies
- Experience of working in a start-up environment it is a merit
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for aircraft to electrify the aviation industry

Education

- Graduate degree in electrical engineering similar discipline, or equivalent experience
